Having gone from being homeless with his Mother one week, to living in a multi-million dollar mansion and attending a top prep school the next week, Brian McGuire's life experiences have helped to formulate his artistic journey. "I like to incorporate my surreal outlook on life into my music", states Brian. "I find humor and the positive in things that most people would consider dark, or even tragic". Having spent his formative years in Austin, Texas, Brian was lured to experimental sounds coming out of this town known for its vibrant music scene. But it wasn't until his move to Los Angeles in 1999 that he discovered the electronic dance community, which has since become his livelihood and his passion.

Brian's first gig at an underground party in 2000 helped to turn his newfound love into a budding career. Soon thereafter, he met the founding members of Neoteq and became a resident at the world-renound club "Red". He has developed a large following at this event, the longest-lasting major club-night in the city of Los Angeles. He has played along-side the likes of Christopher Lawrence, Felix Da Housecat, 16B, DJ Dan, and Donald Glaude, just to name a few. This large-scale exposure has served to help with numerous bookings nationally and beyond. He has played to large crowds at venues in Las Vegas, Missouri, Texas, and is top-billing for an upcoming gig in Taiwan.

Brian has not rested on his laurels, working feverishly over the last year to produce music and involve himself in other events and projects. He formed a production team with fellow Angelino Andy Hay called "thebrianandandyshow". They have created numerous tracks, two of which have just been signed to Solid Plastic Records for release later this year (the tracks are entitled "Auditorium11" and "Yesterday at School"). DJ Magazine reported that "Yesterday at School" was the best new track heard at the Miami Winter Music Conference in 2003!

Brian has also teamed up with local DJ Nancy Cheng to perform together at several events as "Badonkadonk". Most recently, Badonkadonk played at 1650 Schraeder along with Hacker and Kiko, and also twice at the world-famous Club Sugar. In addition, Badonkadonk hosted a night called "Club Jiggle" with guests such as Taylor, Tim Lawson (Spundae) and Kazell (Liquified). In addition to Red, Brian is currently a resident at a weekly Thursday night event called "Focus", which takes place in Agoura Hills, CA.

Brian's artistic ambition took to new heights this year, landing the starring role in an independent film called "Sexless". This production will be shown in numerous film festivals this year, and is currently being shopped around to several major studios for distribution. Three of Brian's original tracks serve as music during the film ("Auditorium11", and the non-dance tunes "Amazon" and "Tall String Burrito").

"I'm looking to take the world by storm in 2003", states McGuire with a twinkle in his eye and a grin on his face. Few that have witnessed his performances or have listened to his music doubt him.

(Brian has the distinction of being the only DJ who has appeared on the line up of every event that Serendipity's creative director/founder, Ehron Asher, has ever had a hand in producing. The highlights of which include: 'We the People Freedom Festival', 'The Conscious Party 2003', 'ePLURibus Union' and 'Celebrate Friendship'.)
